# Studio mode and stream overlay

> Film the dashboard with scripted numbers on cue, and put your live counter on a stream with the overlay link, sale alerts and a chime.

## Sale moments

When a sale lands, the number celebrates it: the amount and where it came from pop in over the digits (*+$49.00 · Stripe*), the digits glow gold, and the counter rolls the money in. Sales that land together are one moment (*+$312.00 · 7 sales*). With reduced motion, it’s a plain fade.

Sound is a soft chime made in the browser, off unless you turn it on: **Customize → Sales → Sound**, per browser.

## The stream overlay

Your [public link](https://odo.gg/docs/sharing) with `?overlay` is just the counter on a transparent background, with the odo.gg mark. Add it to OBS as a Browser source. Each sale pops in over it like a donation alert. OBS can’t click a setting, so add `&sound=1` for the chime (`…?overlay&sound=1`) and tick *Control audio via OBS* to mix it.

## Studio mode

For filming the dashboard: scripted numbers on your own screen, on cue. It’s for creators making videos about odo, and odo’s team turns it on for their account.

| Key | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `S` | Opens the studio panel (also **Customize → Studio**): the counter’s starting amounts, its currency and pace, a change to show under it, visitors and who’s online |
| `Space` | Fires a sale from the apps you name (“Stripe, Tebex, Patreon”), as does a tap on the number |
| `Shift` + `1` to `9` | Fires a preset amount |
| `A` | Starts or stops sales by themselves, every few seconds, within a range |

Each sale rolls in with its moment, the chime on by default. **Restart** counts up from zero again, for the next take.

It’s demo data, and it says so: no seal or *Verified via* line stands by a studio number, and a *Demo data* tag sits under it, even in focus mode. It all stays in that browser: nothing reaches odo’s server, public totals, share links, public pages, the overlay, notifications, the API or AI assistants, and nobody else sees it.

For the dashboard below the number, the same accounts can have demo data: a demo store, ad network and website, all self-reported, so no seals there either.
